The Platte Valley Middle School athletic program is dedicated to providing positive experiences to student-athletes by emphasizing character and sportsmanship within the spirit of athletic competition. For information regarding each sport offered at PVMS, simply click on the links in the menu.

Platte Valley is committed to sportsmanship. We request your help in creating a positive environment for our student-athletes. Please respect the hard work and dedication that all team and coaches have put forth in preparing for all contests. We expect fans to cheer in a positive manner for your team and refrain from negatively engaging the opposing teams, coaches, fans, officials or coaching from the sidelines. Thank you for supporting PVMS Athletics and Activities.

Platte Valley School District offers athletic programs for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students at the middle school level. All students interested in MS Athletics will be required to follow our check out process before participating in the first practice of their sport. While 7th and 8th grade athletic programs are open to any student, per NPMLA bylaws, 6th grade is only allowed to participate in Cross Country, Wrestling and Track.

Home school students and/or students who attend a school that does not offer middle school athletics will be allowed upon request. This is pending the PVSD Guidelines for student participation in extracurricular activities and/or approval from the Northern Plains Middle Level Association (NPMLA). Interested parents must contact the Middle School Athletic Office at (970) 336-8610. Home school students are also required to follow PVMS eligibility requirements, along with the student-athlete registration process.
